By completing a purchase with Red House Farm, you acknowledge and agree to our terms and conditions.

Ordering

Orders are filled in the order received. Wait times can be a week, to months, depending on the breed. We are a small farm and our hens run the show and set the schedules for eggs.

Once we contact you about your order we will give you 24 hours to confirm so if needed we can move to the next customer in line and reschedule your order. We are happy to work with you when possible for a specific time frame so just let us know.

We understand that plans change and life gets busy so if you change your mind about your order just pop us a note.

Hatching Eggs

Hatching eggs are available for farm gate pick up or shipping within Canada. We ship using Freightcom and will always provide options for different carriers. Please review our shipping page for more details.

Due to factors beyond our control such as shipping and incubation practices, we cannot guarantee hatching eggs and are not responsible for them once they leave our farm. We do conduct regular fertility checks throughout the season, collect eggs multiple times throughout the day and only send the freshest eggs collected within four days of shipping.

Hatching eggs are a gamble and shipping impacts the hatch rate so please understand these risks before purchasing.

Chicks, Ducklings & Adult Birds

All chicks and ducklings are sold unsexed and are farm gate pick up only - we do not ship live birds.

We do not take waitlists or orders for pullets and point of lay hens however these birds will be posted on our Facebook page and sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Occasionally we will also have adults from our breeding groups that are ready for retirement homes.

Roosters

Roosters are inevitable. With unsexed chicks and hatching eggs always expect at least 50% to be roosters so please ensure you have an ethical plan in place for the extra boys. Not sure what to do with them please reach out to discuss options.
